First there was the pause. At that point came the weight.
After about two entire years without a MMA battle, Conor McGregor came back to the Octagon on Oct. 6 in Las Vegas and got covered by UFC lightweight victor Khabib Nurmagomedov, who won by fourth-round accommodation.
At that point things got insane, as Nuremagomedov jumped over the confine to assault one of McGregor’s cornermen and one of Nurmagomedov’s partners entered the pen to assault McGregor. Pandemonium followed, and the two warriors must be escorted from the field by security.
The UFC 229 matchup highlighted the greatest star in the game’s history against one of its most predominant warriors. Include the reality they had ill will from outside the Octagon, coming from the transport assault episode in Brooklyn back in April, and you had what many thought about the greatest battle in MMA history.
Also, one of its greatest bruised eyes.
