Steamed Broccoli with Blue Cheese Sauce

  • 1 medium head of broccoli
  • ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp butter or ghee
  • 2 oz blue cheese, crumbled


  1. Wash the broccoli and cut into florets. Put on a steaming rack in a pot filled with about 2 inches of boiling water. Cook for 8 minutes.
  2. Combine the cream, cream cheese, and butter or ghee in a small pot. Gently bring to a simmer over medium-low heat and stir until well combined and the cream cheese and butter are melted.
  3. Remove from the heat and mix in the crumbled blue cheese. Stir until the blue cheese is dissolved and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour over broccoli.
